British Swimming Championships News Update

The British Swimming Championships took place from the 18th April 2017 to the 23rd April 2017 at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield.
The London Region were represented by 80 athletes from 13 London Clubs. 16 of the athletes made the Finals. 5 were in the Junior Finals, 5 in Target Tokyo Finals and 6 in Open Finals.
Aimee Willmott of the London Aquatics Centre PP, received a Silver medal in the 400m IM Open final and has also been selected as part of the 29 strong British Swimming team to compete at this summer’s FINA World Championships in Budapest.

Jahrel Murphy from Ealing SC has been selected for the British Swimming Team for the European Junior Championships in Israel from the 28th June to 2nd July 2017.

Anna Hopkin from Ealing SC received a Gold medal in the 50m Freestyle Open Final.

Other significant swims came from Leon Birchie – Hillingdon, David Broomfield – Brompton, Lewis Clifford-Stephenson – Chelsea & Westminster SC, Amy Godsave – LACPP, Michael Gunning – LACPP, Jemima Hall – Hillingdon, Brodie Judge – Ealing SC, Jahrel Murphy – Ealing SC and Jarvis Parkinson – LACPP.
