Welcome to London Summer of Sport 2008 - apply now
Applications open for 2008 funding on 16 June 2008
Thanks to your support, London Summer of Sport 2007 was a huge success. The programme supported 500 plus events across 29 sports giving over 77 thousand people the opportunity to take part in a range of sport and physical activity across London.
As a Mayoral programme, the London Development Agency is working with the Greater London Authority and other partners to build on the success of previous London Summer of Sport campaigns. The overall aim is to further increase the numbers of those regularly taking part in sports across the capital.
This year, sports clubs, organisations and youth and community groups can apply for grants of up to £1,000, plus receive extra training and marketing materials to make your activity even more successful. We have an extensive London marketing campaign launching in July to help promote the programme and drive new participants to your event. This campaign will feature print, underground and online advertising.
Funding is available for all sports and physical activities
Funding is available for all sports and physical activities, ranging from sports coaching sessions to sports festivals and sports club open days.
