DIVING JUDGES COURSE
As part of the HASA Diving Development Programme, in conjunction with the East and London ASA Regions, the County is organising a Diving Judges Course at Hemel Hempstead Sports Centre, Herts HP1 1JS, on Sunday, September 28th. 9.30 am.
There will be sessions covering the FINA Rules of Diving and their interpretation (21/2hrs), followed by practical judging(1hr), in the Diving Pit. The Course will be given by Susie Bamber who is officiating at the Beijing Olympics and will therefore have the latest update on the Rules. There will be a written exam (1hr) on the Rules in the afternoon. The exam is not compulsory but those passing will be ecommended for County and Regional events.
All interested are welcome: those who wish to judge at Club, County or Regional level, existing judges for a “refresher”, or any body who would like to understand the esoteric world of diving judging! All participants will receive a copy of the FINA Rules, programme and location map beforehand.
The Centre has a café for refreshments and snacks, or alternatively, bring along a packed lunch.
The fee is £15, and as numbers may be limited, to ensure your place, please complete the slip below and return it with the fee to the Organiser promptly:
