Ealing Crowned Champions

Ealing Swimming Club perform at Youth Championships

Ealing Swimming Club were crowned ASA National Girls Youth Team Champions after a thrilling and exciting week of competition at Ponds Forge International Pool, Sheffield last week.

This is the second time in three years that the Gurnell Pool based team has lifted the prestigious national title.  Head coach Dave Heathcock was delighted with the team performance and especially pleased to see the girls make a unique double, taking both the 4 x 100m freestyle team and 4 x 200m freestyle team titles - both in new club,Middlesex county & London record times .The girls also picked up a bronze in the 4 x 100m medley team. Individual medals were also collected by Natalie Durant and Lauren Turner. All the Ealing swimmers made either semi-finals or grand finals, adding to the points total was Jenna Turner , Elizabeth Griskova,  Sophie Shafique and  Polly Kemp-King.

Once again the Ealing club prove to be a leading light in both London and National swimming .
