Swim England National Awards 2017

The Swim England National Awards are a great opportunity to celebrate all the individual achievements and team successes of the past year.
They recognise all those involved in our sports, from members and volunteers to partners, teachers and athletes.The 2017 National Awards were held on 11 November at The Great Hall at the University of Birmingham with Olympic diving silver medallist Leon Taylor hosting the day and double Olympian swimmer Ellie Faulkner presenting the awards.

Annual Renewals Process

It is getting to that time of year when clubs will be starting to gather information to allow them to complete their Swim England Annual renewal.To assist clubs to understand the processes involved and what information is required, when this is required and how to manage memberships throughout the year, Swim England have compiled a guidance document. CPSU Time to Listen Training Changes

Swim England advises all Club, County and Regional Welfare Officers that the Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU)  Training entitled Time to Listen only needs to be attended once. 
There is no requirement for any Welfare Officer to repeat this training every 3 years unless you wish to do so.   
We recommend that you update your copy of Wavepower page 48 to reflect this change.

Medals & Trophy Controller Role Vacancy

London Swimming are looking to appoint a Medals & Trophy Controller to organise the purchase and delivery of London Swimming Medals and Trophies and to ensure the trophies are present and in good order for presentation at competitions.See HERE for further details.

Swim England T-30 Challenge

The Swim England T-30 challenge is a unique and simple event which determines just one thing – who can swim the furthest in 30 minutes!

You don’t have to be a Swim England member to enter the T-30 Challenge. It’s open to everyone living in Great Britain between 18 and 108 years old.

Richard Whiteahead Elected Swimming President 2017-2018

Richard Whitehead has been elected President of England’s national governing body for swimming at the organisation’s Annual Council Meeting.

The London Regional delegate succeeds Anne Reah in the ceremonial role, and will hold the position for twelve months. Congratulations to Richard.
